The work was created for the exhibition 河邊- Beside the River in the Waley Art Gallery, Taipei. It is centered on the contemporary garden settlements at Tamsui River and the historic development of the river side. 

How is the space supposed to be used and who has legal access to it? Through history the riverside has been dedicated as farming ground, migrants settlement or place of social and biological recreation. Following this discourse may give an intel on the changing perception of the river through history, which hints to the relationship of human residents to their environment.
